Family Photography Session-Iona Beach, Vancouver BC

Some of my favourite memories from when I was little are those spent with my grandparents. My Poppy would take me fruit picking and clam digging during the day and sometimes play the fiddle for us at night. My Nana would often be in the kitchen baking biscuits and cooking delicious meals or hanging the wash outside on the line to dry while telling me stories of my mom when she was a kid. I loved watching her play the organ at Sunday service or just at the house. I’m fortunate that I still get to call my Nana and I cherish our phone dates where we just chat about life. I’m always amazed at her resilience and optimism during this time.

The pictures that have been passed down to me from my Mom and Nana that have all of our family in them are some of my favourite pictures and I hold them very dear to my heart.

This family session at Iona Beach brought much joy to me for so many reasons and I know it brings even more joy to those in it and will do so for many decades to come.
